Flowers MAG
Blossoms are like new life,
Like bright spots of paint that liven our world.
They are delicate silk,
Like smooth, creamy butternut squash.
Their blazing yellow resembles the flame
on the tip of an ignited candle,
The rigid stems like iron support beams.
The green leaves swarming with cellular activity,
Like scrambling ants fighting for fallen crumbs.
They nourish us with air as water renews
our bodies,
Reaching high with their long necks
To grasp the sun’s strengthening rays.
Flowers blooming, like a new soul’s life,
Like a newborn’s future.
