LOOK AT MY PROFILE. DO IT.

You can’t play music on loose strings,
So life has tightened my chest once more
With a taut pain that nearly breaks me,
Just so it can use one of my ribs as a bow
And perform upon my heartstrings
A haunting tune that weeps the notes for me
With sorrowful beauty and raw emotion.
God used Adam’s rib to create Eve;
Life used my rib to play a tortured melody
On a heart that resounds endlessly
With the strains of its own sadness.
