Seeing stars in the night sky,
Wishing time would pass by,
Seeing the finish line but never being able to finish the race
Growing up with your mom telling you everything you did was a disgrace.
Seeing the spots on your skin
Black,
Purple,
Red,
Trying to figure out why you deserved it
But not knowing much because you never really learned it
Feeling broke down and hopeless, hoping that the next person would just notice.
Having to blame it on stupid lies, not knowing how no one knew with my dull eyes
Trying to stop myself from crying because knowing how my mind was set up
There was no chance of me feeling alright
I'm like an open wound bleeding out of every cut my body consumes
But will I give up from this war?
No, I’ll resume
