and i couldn’t
help
but wonder
why.
why
me?
what is it
about me
that could
land
YOUR
perfect,
loving
heart,
all wrapped up
in a bright pink
ribbon
at my
doorstep.
i do not deserve
YOU
or
YOUR
love.
i have
wanted
YOU
to be mine
for the
longest
time,
and now that
YOU
are mine
for the taking,
i know i can
not have
YOU.
i sent
YOUR
heart back,
the box unopened,
and cried myself
to sleep,
because i love
YOU
so much
and yet i let

go.
