I stepped onto the porch,
welcomed with chill breeze.
I took a deep breath,
the cold air flooding my lungs.
Sending a burst of energy throughout my body
that left me with goosebumps.
With the season came the morning frost,
the changing leaves,
and the ever familiar Pumpkin Spice Latte.
The perfect weather to curl up with a blanket,
sipping on warm tea while admiring the fall colors.
Changing the neighborhood slowly.
Gazing as the trees changed from green,
Before finally turning brown,
descending from above,
resting on the gardens below.
It would take time,
but they always returned by spring.
Bring along blooming flowers,
and hope for the end of the school year.
