i need YOU

i need YOU
to wipe the
tears
from my cheeks,
and put
bandaids
over the gashes
on my
heart,
and whisper
in my ear
that it will
all
be
ok,
because right now
my hope
has run dry
like a
poor village's
water supply
(although the
well in my
eyes seems
to always
be full to the
brim).
