It started with your poem
about the girl
that sounds and awful lot like me
And I said
I would never write a poem
about someone
I was romantically entangled with
That is only
partially true
I have written many poems
about you
that will never be read
I would rather you not know
how much you mean to me
I would rather
have power
than love
