"Talent is something you make bloom, instinct is something you polish." --Tooru Oikawa, Haikyuu

When you found me,

I was all alone.

Abandoned,

Yearning,

Hoping.

With your carefree smile

And your whispered promises,

You touched my soul

And pulled me out of the shadows.

With you, I could be myself.

I learned how to laugh.

I let my walls come down.

I told you everything.

But your smile turned into a frown

And your promises became lies

When you decided you'd had enough of me.

You tore me down,

Threw me back into the shadows,

Left without a backwards glance.

Once again, I was abandoned.

But not yearning,

Not hoping.

Nobody would ever love me.

I had been told that many times before,

But it sounded so much worse coming from your lips

And I believed it.

I was broken, cracked, before you came.

You have shattered me into tiny pieces.

And though it is your fault,

I will always blame myself.
