It Hurts
It hurts to think of you
It hurts to think of your smile
the way you looked at me
the way you'd grab me
and tell me i'm yours
the way your eyes lit up when we drove fast.
It hurts to know I won't be able to
call you just to say hi
It hurts to know you'll never hold me
you'll never call me yours
you'll never pick me up for a late night drive
i'll never search for things that remind me of you
i'll never fall asleep knowing you're mine.
It hurts to feel as though a piece of me is missing
It hurts to feel broken and lost
i'll never feel your warmth
i'll never feel you holding me
i'll never feel wanted
i'll never feel you,
emotionally and physically.
It hurts that I lost my other half.
