Memory Poem
Would you like to look and see?
Said my mom while in the car,
On our way to a new place,
But not to terribly far,
Yes and no, I’m not too sure,
I hope it’s pretty and nice,
We arrived at a small neighborhood,
Not a sound, quiet, like mice,
Big yard,
New schools,
Big house
New rules,
Tall empty interior,
Brick walls laced in vine,
Spiral wooden stairs,
A new room to call mine,
Large like a mansion,
Gleaming like a star,
So much room to grow,
Said my mom while in the car.
