Level 12
Life's a game,
and were all on different levels.
LEVEL 12
head phones in, head down,
watching the tiles pass
as you head to class
hoping to go unnoticed
because being noticed
allows room for judgement
from bigots, bullies, and bystanders
in this school you are defined by your faults
that one year you just couldn't
figure out how to cope so you turned to cutting
and now you’re just that depressed girl who made a
mistake
that you can’t take
back
and people laugh
at the pain, you sustain
there are bite marks on your tongue
from all of the things you never said
but here’s the truth
I might overreact,
but don't act
like you know
because
life's a game, and were all on different levels,
same hell, different devils.
But I'll be okay, Is that what you want me to say?
