Utopia

By , Spring, TX

When the sun dies, and the moon, rising victor of the palace sky,
I throw my shroud of sadness to agony and madness
And walk alone
Through cities of broken bones.

In thorns and bramble, I crawl through in shambles
To the dark of night, where my utopia shines bright.

And I dance with monsters through the night.

But the time comes when they run from the sun
And nothing’s left but me
And the brightness is all I see.

When the moon dies, and the sun, rising victor of the palace sky
I cast my shroud of sadness from agony and madness
And walk alone
Through cities of broken bones.

And when the light comes to take my soul
I know that it is in control.
Yet I still run to my dark salvation,
But I can
T outrun the death of a nation.
