Faker

By , Spring, TX

She’s a long way off from the right road
Walking into cities unknown.
Wears a masks upon her pale face
But through the cracks, I see the tearstains.

Follow her, make sure she’s all right,
‘Till she reaches the bright light.
She don’t know how hard the path is
Until she feels the slicing, cold wind.

So Faker, Faker, put on your pink dress
Your head’s a big mess, your head’s a big mess.
Faker, Faker, put on your high heels
How does your mask feel?

She’s broken down, she’s holding back tears
Didn’t know it’d be so hard here.
It’s unlike her to show her true face
But the path’s too hard for her to be unsafe.

So Faker, Faker, put on your pink dress
Your head’s a big mess, your head’s a big mess.
Faker, Faker, take off your mask now
If you’d like, I’ll show you how.
