Time, the charging stallion
Unabashedly racing past
Chaos and dust born in its wake.
Time, a vigilante
Hand over the mouth of hope
And chasing men to the age of madness.
Time, a spectacular ocean wave
Ridden on involuntarily
And no matter how seemingly gentle,
Never to be trusted.
Time, the charging stallion
Unabashedly racing past
Chaos and dust born in its wake.
Time, a vigilante
Hand over the mouth of hope
And chasing men to the age of madness.
Time, a spectacular ocean wave
Ridden on involuntarily
And no matter how seemingly gentle,
Never to be trusted.

The author's comments:

I wrote this poem towards the end of the school year. Though I was eager for summer, I felt sad that many of my friends were leaving and astonished at how time had passed to quickly. It reminded me of how time's passage can be beneficial or harmful, but it is never entirely on your side.
