Fire burned within his heart,

but silently it did
How could he,
could I,
this good news bring
Vaguely the fire sang,
it sang within in his eyes,
and shadowed his being
What was he to do with this,
how could this song he sing
Flames burned within his soul,
but the fire suffering
But still he sang,
he sang this song,
through the suffering,
and in this song he sang of joy,
of peace and belonging
And so the fire burned and blazed,
all through the weary night,
and in the morning still greater it sang,
for he had reached what he had kept in sight
