heat presses in on him,
chocking him,
setting his molecules into flame and
he can't hear over the screaming,
worlds torn apart and turned to
moondust-colored snow,
dead writers, mouths open in
endless shrieks as
flames devour their souls.

kerosene rain
consumes everything.

words disappear;
he disappears with them.
