I had to Laugh

By , Eaton, CO

I saw the grass laughing today,

and had not the slightest idea what to say
I had just stood and smiled,
and stared for awhile,
then looked up and saw the trees going wild
They had danced with the grass,
so I just had to laugh
Then low and behold,
the rocks had bellowed,
and what a joyous song
The flowers had clapped,
and again I had laughed
The flowers and grasses,
the birds and the trees,
seemed to praise a holy King
And so they did,
I know it well,
so on that thought I may dwell
