People always say I was born to fly.
Then why am I falling?
Falling downward, falling inward.
Fighting against the inevitable,
denying anything plausible.
And all in attempts to what?
To keep you?
You're already gone.
I have died a thousand deaths,
each one not my own.
For you.
Yes for you my love,
because you my love,
is the love I need.
Fighting against the inevitable,
denying anything plausible,
Hopelessly in love with our dalliance.
I am demure,and feeling like a penumbra.
Our love was ephemeral and forlorn.
You treated it like a scintilla.
Your words, cut like knives, susurrus in my ear.
I must say goodbye.
Although our time was brief it was joyful.
Our dalliance, a memory not soon forgotten.
Fighting against the inevitable,
denying anything plausible.
I am a penumbra, half of what used to be.
Half of what could be.
Not the half of what I wish would be.
Falling inward, falling downward.
To the fate I had not chosen.
In the midst of my despair I bid you farewell.
For I am hopelessly, and pathetically..
In love with you.
