  Eyes stare.

  Burn me to a crisp.

  Fling my ashes into the fire.

  At my heart pounding.

  Screaming against my ribs.

  Wanting to feel.

  Wanting to love.

  Itself.

  Into my ghastly face.

  My pale eyes.

  My thin mouth.

  My ugliness.

  Eyes stare.

  At my stomach too bloated.

  My legs too shriveled.

  My arms too limp.

Wall.

  Eyes stare.

  Through my head.

  Into my brain.

  Snake through the tunnels of my throbbing mind.

  Scrape shards of glass through my numb flesh.

  Flicker as the throbbing quickens.

  The muscle contracts.

  Trying to ease itself of suffering.

  Shield itself from those harsh eyes.

Who’s the fairest of them all?
