It's me:

the girl in the corner.

Shy.

Quiet.

Reserved.

It's her:

the girl in the corner.

Boring?

Rude?

Anti-social?

Dull?

Mysterious.

It's me again:

the girl in the corner.

I dare not open my mouth or move an inch...

unless I want to be judged like I've committed a crime.

It's her again:

the girl in the corner.

The way she sits there idly makes me think that...

she doesn't want anything to do with me.

I just felt like saying, as the girl in the corner, that I have many statements to express. But if I do, it could come out wrong. It may come out right, but it would be wrong in your eyes.

I wish to mention, as the one in the front of the room, that I believe you don't have anything to tell me. If you did, you would speak up.

I am unknown- being the girl in the corner- and I am not seen. But if I am examined, I am viewed as someone who wishes not be heard or looked at. But truly, I only desire to be myself while free of constant criticism. If I opened up, would you respect me? So once again...

It's me: the girl in the corner.

Could I venture away from this spot someday?
