Caution of The Green
“You will always be broke
if you have a job that pays you
at the end of every day in cash.”
An icy heart frozen in time
by false value
leads a home to become consumed,
DOOMED
to the thrashing waves of chaos!
Your wife will
beg,
plead,
entreat,
for your attention,
but you'll already be
gone.
Swallowed whole by,
the green,
that lurks in the murky shadows of death.
You’ll become lost in an ocean of deception;
like the whale unto Jonah,
but in your case there is no hope.
Down,
down,
down,
you're drawn to the depths of greed.
They'll call to you as
any loving family would
in anguish.
Just like an infant cries out for its mother.
Too bad unrelenting corruption
will NEVER
let you reach them.
The hole you dug is too deep,
The heart you had now cold,
The life you had,
stolen.
Avarice crept in unnoticed,
a murderer,
of the whole-hearted man.
If you have a job that
pays you at the end of
every day in cash
surely a soulless man
you have become.
