Revealing reluctance
towards severing ties from resonant pasts

The author's comments:

The individualistic journey that entails identifying one's place in society, usually occuring during the transition into adulthood, can be an exciting, yet frightening endeavor. This holds to be especially true among individuals who were sheltered throughout childhood and adolescence who may become intimidated by the enormity of the world and the multitude of opportunities it brings. I know I, for one, become flustered even thinking about my "plan" after high school, because my inevitable metaphorasis has yet to begun.
