Favorite Quote:
Depression is a killer, and hell, it sure kills.

A battle within yourself,
Worse than any World War.
You fight, and fight, and fight.
You can never seem to win the neverending battle.

It seems very few people ever win this war.
Those who lose,
They’re scarred forever,
Diagnosed with their own versions of P.T.S.D.
Some don’t even make it through the war.

The ones that win,
They’re never truly happy.
They just learned how to cope with the scars and the memories of the past.

Those who don’t make it,
They die as fighters,
But are never remembered.
Only a news segment in the weekly paper,
Only remembered once a year.

All of these people,
They cry out for help.
But their cries always go unheard.
How can they be expected to fight alone?

This war within yourself,
It’s near impossible to beat without an army.
This war within yourself,
It cannot be fought alone.
This war within yourself,
You can’t win with an arsenal of guns or knives.
This war within yourself,
It’s worse than any World War.

A war within yourself cannot be fought alone. It must be fought with an army by your side.
