Favorite Quote:
"beauty is truth, truth beauty" - john keats

red leaves which fall from the once lively trees
in the bittersweet solemnity
of the decline
of the year
it would be so fortunate if
all life were so simple
as the very quiet nature
of the season
there is a death which seems
but natural
and necessary
never without assurance
that life will return
in the spring

The author's comments:

Autumn is not only a lovely season, but a season that often comes with a great symbolic connotation. notice that I described this season as "the decline of the year." people will often use the word "autumnal" to describe the declining period of a person's life. autumn's beauty is never free from melancholy; however, it is always brightened by the promise of spring. real life is not quite so fortunate; we are left with darkness and no definite promise of spring.
