Cubism Dream MAG
Why do we bother with communication,
the awkwardness of confrontation,
the sudden self-awareness caused by another?
Then, a conversation with meaningful thoughts,
its endless capabilities?
This is the best –
hiding behind a cubism dream,
face in the light,
and the buzzing of the notifications –
maybe a look away to order a coffee,
to check the buzzing of the notifications
a moment full of avoiding eye contact, all
for the buzzing of the notifications –
every news headline at the tip of the finger,
it’s probably the buzzing of the notifications,
our world anxiously waiting for a new story,
an insight into the life of another.
And if possible, some false empathy –
people twenty, sixty years old
out there
hiding among the rest
in the buzzing of the notifications
and a world drifting aimlessly
like a lost dog trying to find its way.
