Possesses a certain power
a familial bond
an unspoken promise
to protect secrets
Tensions and fights
follow these dire secrets
a source of blackmail
kindling hatred and fear
Thicker than water
an identity, necessity and bond
impossible to pull apart
but vulnerable to cuts
