Favorite Quote:
"I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream." Van Gogh

I see your shoulder blades in the street lights
of the roads
the curvature of your chest, beauty of your bones.
I see your skin in the snow, it is light and discreet
it comes down like an avalanche, then in smooth, pure sheets.

I feel your hands in the covers, where your body once lay.
The creases that fold like paper, the color of gray.
I feel your lips on my forehead, my favorite embrace,
because you made me feel secure, in our own unruly chase.

I search for something more, in my own
condensed forest
I find you, I find hope, and then lose it
in the chorus.
There are so many sounds, so much silence.
You pulse through my veins, a terminal virus.

You are everywhere but nowhere, you are here
yet you’re gone.
I watch from outside, a character withdrawn.
But in the most peculiar of places, I finally
find you
I stand in solidarity, while I still enjoy the view.
