I met the pasta man
Up and down the roller coaster goes
He loves me he loves me not
becomes my national anthem

A compliment goes a long way
But does it actually mean something

I confessed my feelings to the pasta man
No response
A year has passed
still no response

My butterflies remain in a cage
banging on bars to escape

I was told that the pasta man
likes me too
But I’ve yet to hear
the assuring words from
his tempting lips

He loves me he loves me not
The melody plays in my head

Your dumb. Stop. Trying. To. Analyze. A. Poem. Literally. It. Obviously. Symbolizes. Something.

Good. But, shouldn't pasta man refer to a 'food vendor'. I don't know.... I liked the writing style, but it was a bit confusing.
