It’s not because I’m black, or because I’m female it’s simply because DESI CANT RHYME.
I can manipulate and cloud these words I can make what’s good sound bad and make what’s bad sound completely understandable, the problem is DESI CAN’T RHYME
I’m not a poet but my heart moments and desires are poetic.
I wish I could write her a poem
With words
Alliteration
And metaphors
She told me how she loves hearing when I tell her that her love reigns over me and I’m powerless and like a subject I will bow to her heart protect it with a sword, and hold it like a final kiss
a final goodbye.
But I owe her an apology I’ve manipulated the narrator I apologize that in all the other mushy gushy stuff changed the pronouns from “her” to him”
I owe you justice, bear with me Desi Can’t Rhyme
My love is like the little dipper- where the freak is the little dipper?
Love is a concept I haven’t yet fully understood.
When I found love I found it through the red eyes and burning throat, and s*** I want kool-aid
And some chicken nuggets
When I found love I saw it embracing someone else in the bed
Then finally someone finally told me “love don’t love to love anybody”
I thought they were right
Then you come around like the sun beautiful from start to finish
You came around like a maiden who’s destined for a crown
You came around all torn down and hating this small town
You came around like a joint in a circle
But
This love is hers.
Her scars will be kissed everyday
Because love isn’t a mistake
She reminds me of the sun and the rain
And I need both for a perfect day.
her love is what I crave and I miss her

every single day
