I – not by choice –

remain unseen.
I am human,
but invisible to the naked eye.
It’s not a bother,
but I sometimes cross paths
with the others.
Once,
moving through
the darkness,
an insult
and a lack of apology.
A beating,
and a running insolent boy.
Mugged,
Please.
I am invisible
trying not to awaken the
sleeping ones.
The dangers of
sleepwalkers.
The dangers of
stealing from The Man.
But they won’t know,
not for a while.
The Hole,
not cold or damp,
but warm:
Jack the Bear
in hibernation.
The Hole
filled with light.
Nothing brighter.
