If you love me let me go.
I’m in trouble I’m an addict.
Sing us a song you're the piano man

Like the soft hum of the wind on a brisk day,
I delve into the world of music as my escape.
Through countless hours of countless tunes
My thoughts wander through the valley of my mind.
Open eyes seek deeper meaning in the art
That is being written by the artists of these songs.
Hoping to discover what raw emotion is portrayed
Or to stumble upon the inner beauty of the melodies.
My rekindled love for oldies is awoken,
By the raspy vocals of Lou Gramm in Cold as Ice
Aren’t we all just, willing to sacrifice our love?
Panic! At the Disco fills my playlists,
The beautiful meanings of the lyrics understand me.
I am filled with feelings of belonging,
If not by friends or family, but by Brendan Urie.
I used to escape the world with my mind,
Now I drown my mind with music to escape it.
The different flavors of songs appeal,
To the many taste buds inside my head on a daily basis.
Like the lingering taste of poison on the tip of your tongue,
I get consumed by the grace of each note.
Music may not be a solid place,
But I escape from the harsh realities,
That try to define me.

I have been going through a tough time in my life and decided to write where my escape from this cruel world was.
