"for something to be beautiful it does not have to be pretty" -Rei Kawakubo

Don't fall in love with a writer
They will lie to you
And make you into something beautiful
For the sake of poetic justice.

Don't fall in love with a writer
They are cowards
Who hide safe from harm
In a perfect world
They created.

Don't fall in love with a writer
They will sever your skin
With sophistical similes
And illusive assonances.

Don't fall in love with a writer
You will never be as prodigious
As the characters they have created
In their minds.

Don't fall in love with a writer
They are still in their rising action
And you do not exactly fit into
Their Hero's Journey.

Don't fall in love with a writer
Because when the night is over
And you can not stay
They have the power to write a different ending.

Don't fall in love with a writer
They will invent things to love about you
And compare you to a summer's day
When in reality they think you are made of broken dreams
And empty bottles of liquor.
