do you think the sky is
fake?

sometimes it looks like someone
just painted it on
the sky is a void
it draws me in
it won’t leave me alone

are you looking at the same sky?
I wonder how bright the colors are on
that side of the globe
I wonder which buildings and
rooftops puncture your sky
onyx syringes against lavender blood

you’re always the same
distance from the
void, wherever you are

I’m looking at the sky
but I can't
stop thinking about
you
