Today I desired to sit upon your knee
Lay my head upon your shoulder, tell you of my dreams
Rest assured in knowing your love for me was strong
Hold your hand, forever grateful that this was where I belonged
Today I realized my weight would break your leg
My head would break your ribs, constrict your chest
I am too heavy to sit upon your knee
And you are too tired to listen to my dreams
