Standing on the edge,
Watching the moon.
A brave young wolf
Is surrounded by fear.
He howls loudly,
Calling out to the stars.
Nobody will answer
His plea for something more.
The fur on his back
Is matted and scarce.
He doesn't live
To impress the human race.
The knowledge of the Earth
He knows and performs.
Naive to the truth,
He lives as himself.
All alone,
He sits by the tree.
Watching the moon,
Surrounded by fear.
