I can be dear
I can be wrathful
But I know
I do care.
I care how I'm perceived
I care
how I perceive
others.
I perceive
and I judge.
But I judge with a purpose.
I try and protect
myself, my family
Those I love
I love those.
I love them all.
And I resent
I push away
I forget but I remember
The good and the bad,
I am both.
But isn't it nice to know,
that I am both?
That I can choose
My own feelings.
I can choose for myself
I am my own person.
And that is the greatest quality
I know.
