Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish them!!!

This is a poem
about a boy who was born on October twelfth two thousand
to this day he fights a mental illness that is getting a hold of him
like ants surrounding a hopeless butterfly.

This is a poem
about a boy who was diagnosed with a severe case of ADHD.
ADHD
An illness like an HD TV on scan.
An illness which has branded him with the word “retarded”
An illness that he felt fine with but now makes him feel like he has been carted away from the normal ward.

This is a poem
about a three year old boy who would joke he could not go to sleep because his “eyes wouldn’t close”
about a boy who fell asleep a minute later

This is a poem
about a boy whose family had to move for financial reasons.
Reasons that were not told like why the seasons were all the same to him because of all the moving.

This is a poem
about a boy who had witnessed his grandfather die.
A boy who heard his mother’s screams of pain of losing her father
A boy who was told that his mother’s heart was not a good one.

This is a poem
about a boy whose mother didn’t have enough money for her treatment.
A boy whose mother stayed in a hospital for a big part of his childhood.

This a poem
about a boy who started school at the age of 5 and had already felt the pain and happiness one wouldn’t even be able to imagine
A boy who was immediately picked on but who was also befriended.
A boy who was publicly humiliated at the age of 10 by his teacher for being an immigrant

This is a poem
about an 11 year old boy whose mother was hospitalized for most of the year.
A boy who only got to see his mother once a week.
A boy whose mother finally got a pacemaker and an extensive 12 hour surgery.

nothing

This is a poem
about a boy who now also fights depression
a boy who fights the thought of turning the gun in his hands on himself and pulling the trigger.
about a boy who held the gun to his head and felt his heart pumping
about a boy who licked his lips and looked up
about a boy who squeezed the trigger but the gun didn’t fire
the safety was on
about a boy who turned off the safety and squeezed the trigger again
it jammed
But he didn’t pull the trigger a third time.
He had now understood god's verdict

This is a poem
"about a boy who now understands that God would never give him a challenge that he would not be able to fight through
He gives him challenges so that he can grow stronger and help many people"

This is now a poem
about a boy who has the help from a best friend and now from many more.
about a boy who has found the fruits of life.
about a boy who has a great teacher to guide him forward.
about a boy who has many friends to support him in every new step he takes.

This is a poem
about a boy who now thanks all for even if they didn’t help, for at least having a good thought about him
about a boy who now dreads the thought of leaving these great people,
so before it’s too late
I want to thank you all so very much.
without you I wouldn’t have been here
So I finish by saying

This is a poem about a boy
