"so you're tired of living, and you feel like you might give in? well don't. it's not your time." - a better place a better time // streetlight manifesto

She tells me a trash can in Montana
is better than any apartment in a Boston suburb
I ask her, What’s so bad about a trash can?
Why don’t we just go, figure the details out once we get there?

The details
She laughs
Yeah, the details
Food, water, shelter …

We do this dance,
the duet of the dreamer and the realist
She tells me she needs to be there to keep me close to the ground
Just as much as I need to keep her from sinking too far into it

Love is cliché, love is stupid
And all my life I’ve resented the thought of it
But dear god
A trash can in Montana is better than anywhere without her

This is a love poem, but it doesn't completely feel like a "LOOOOVE" poem, you know? You're not trying to sell some mushy fairy tale. You're telling a modern day, realistic love story, and DEAR God, it is so beautiful! This will be in the magazine, I garentee it, calling it right now. Amazing.

I want to live and feel all the shades, tones, and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life.
And I am horribly limited.
