broken; imperfect

isolated with no one to know

drafted off into the war

a survival of sanity

a competition of purity

i was given the purple heart after so much misery

i know the pain of life

all those lonely nights

self hatred and inner battle fights

forgive those who dealt you grief

forget that which made you weep

keep close to your heart

look past those scars

and give yourself a reason to live
