People were created to be loved. Things were created to be used. The reason the world is in chaos is because things are being loved and people are being used. By: Anonymous

Maybe it was the way he looked at her.

Or maybe it was the way he held her.

She couldn't quite pin point why she felt the way she did, but it was there.

She had never felt this way before and it her.

How many times had she been hurt?

Plenty.

Was she prepared to lose this guy?

This feeling?

No.

How much could her heart handle?

She didn't want to find out.

She could see his love for her shine in his eyes, but she wondered how long it would last.

So she pushed him away.

Why?

Even she doesn't know the answer.

She fought with him thinking he would be like the rest, that he would leave her at any moment and she would be left hurt.

Again.

She cries herself to sleep thinking about the terrible things she does, but yet she cannot stop herself.

She's becoming a monster more and more every day.

Becoming a beast no man can tame.

Until one day he breaks.

The love fading from him.

Draining out of his eyes and on to the wet ground beneath their feet.

She watches as the man she truly loves falls out of love with her and for the first time she realized what she was doing.

In her mind she is on her knees trying to pick up the pieces of broken love.

Trying to put them back together again.

Now when she looks into her lover's eyes she feels pain, regret, sorrow, and lost love.

A combination that can kill even the mightiest beast.

She knows she's tamed.

So does he.

But that can't bring back what is already gone.

Those once shining eyes are now only looking for a way out.

His plans don't include her anymore.

Now she cries herself to sleep for another reason.

Knowing she had love, but pushed it till it finally left.

This has made her wiser.

She will never take someone for granted, just as she had been taken for granted all those years before.

I wrote this piece after a realization in my relationship surfaced. This piece is real to me and it's my feelings laid out there for everyone to see.
