Explosive pain seeps,
Into my fingers
Threading through
Smoky arteries
Turning numb
In the inferno
Of its influence
Red blood
Turns dark and bitter
Roses taste burnt black
Crunchy sand turns dust
Tears freeze in
The crevices of my throat
Memories melt to infinity
My heart turns cold
And creates a moat
As thorns lovingly
Adorn my thin fingers
Bitterness in my cords
Forever linger....
