The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

He looks into the mirror
and he sees nothing
but a field of dandelions
and a bunch of delicious fruit
but heartbreak consumes him
as the mirror burns up in a
fiery ball; his image consumed
his passion quickly becoming hazardous

The dandelions are still in tact
but not for long
the dandelions turn from a bright, blinding yellow
to a bright,beautiful orange
but he doesn’t find it beautiful
the flames dance over the dandelions
and they go from being bright and beautiful
to dark and dangerous

The dandelions stop burning
after what seemed like an eternity
they turn a solid black
the dandelions are still there
but are carried off by the wind
in giant piles of ash

The dandelions are gone
the fruit burnt to a crisp
black and inedible for even
the hungriest soul
,and just like the feeling he has
in his soul,
a famine consumes the field, leaving no trace
of happiness left.
