Twirling and dancing
Flashing like bright fire
Not falling but floating
Gently to the ground

Cold breeze
Gripping the trees
Shaking their leaves away
Sending them down into the abyss

The sun sinking lower
Getting ready to leave
As the bears retreat
Deep into the caves

The flames will dance
But not for long
When the winter
Comes to sing it’s own song

I was simply looking out my window and was struck by the beauty of the falling leaves, which occasionally fell so fast they looked like blurs of color dancing in the wind.

This is really really beautiful! You capture this sense of magic (like Beila said!) with the words you use. The imagery is stunning! I would just say that the rhyme with the last line feels a little forced, and I think it is a shame to even slightly mar the overall beauty of this piece with a tiny little thing like that. But that is entirely my opinion! It is lovely as is, of course!

I like how you've painted the arrival of winter in your imagery. The beauty of nature comes through, and I appreciate that unlike most winter poems, this one does not focus on frost or snow or the classical image of a winter landscape. It's the moments when the seasons change that there's real magic in the air. :)
