--F. Scott Fitzgerald

In the moment my heart stops beating.
Oh what an unfortunate occurrence;
however, your breath keeps me alive.
Not only living—unmoved being— pulsing.
Forget these preconceived notions of death;
the death of your surroundings is much more potent.
Time goes unnoticed: this forgotten friend
will remain unnoticed until damned life is revived within me.
But for now, the unrecognizable earth become less foe
and more welcome in this immortal place.
Where are we?
