I Know Baseball
I’ve known baseball:
I’ve known baseball like the back of my hand and longer than Babe Ruth has been called the Great Bambino.
My work ethic builds through baseball.
I was born knowing Sam Distefano Park and smelling the fresh cut grass.
I lived my entire life near the dugout and it motivated me to never give up.
I looked at the Major League Pros and vowed to be like them.
I heard the clacking of the Nike cleats when Derek Jeter
went down to Yankee stadium, and I’ve seen his respect
for the game bleed into the crowd.
I’ve known baseball:
Simple, All American baseball.
My work ethic builds through baseball.
