Dented
Kicked
Striking out before even swinging
Warm hugs for the lonely
Gets up

Young hearted
Never giving up
Guilty southerner
Dad’s never coming home
Striking out before even swinging
Dented like the hump of a hood
Kicked so hard he flew across the world
Warm hugs for the lonely
Holds head high
