"The Notebook Thief"

You stole my notebook again.
I teased you and called you the new "book thief".
We laughed and talked during the last few minutes of French, completely forgetting the world around us.
Your smile and humor instantly stunned me.
Just like the other million times since I met you.
Everything about you was amazing, and we complimented each other perfectly.
Then your girlfriend came around again.
I can't blame you for picking her, she's beautiful.
And gorgeous.
And simply the nicest person around.
As you walked out of the door with your hand intertwined with hers, I forgot to tell you something.
You had stolen my notebook.
And my heart.

I just felt like writing this poem when I saw my BFF with her crush. She was always the tough kind of girl who never cried and who always picked her head up before she fell. But this time, I think that she's fallen too hard and too fast, even for me to catch her. So this is a chance to look into her mind.
