When I'm Gone

When I am gone,
No one will know,
How could they?
After all, I am but a shadow.
When I am gone,
No one will mourn,
Why would they?
I mean, I am a shadow.
When I am gone,
No one will remember,
How could they?
Nothing is left behind.
Every trace gone,
When I am.
After all,
I am but a shadow,
Invisible and unseen.

This piece didn't take me too long to put together, so don't judge too quick, it came from the heart, after all, the best poetry is always based on emotion or lack thereof. Anyone who can relate realizes my pain and should show the world.
