Playing Cards
Around, around I go
Each day gliding by,
Waiting and waiting for the sunshine.
No one said it would be easy starting over
No one said it would be so chilling
Sitting I drum my fingers and hum
It really could be worse
Flashes of thought fill my mind
What about Cameron and Riley
Those two girls likely stuck in poverty for the rest of their lives
It really could be worse
It’ll work out, things always seem to anyways
No one said it would be easy starting over
But that doesn’t mean I am not lucky
It really could be worse
Life is a lesson anyways, isn’t it?
I think the lesson I’ve learned is, life isn’t the least bit fair
Life’s like throwing dice
Life’s a gambling show
I don’t like my hand,
but peering over at their cards
they have no chance of staying in the game.
They’re set up for a loss.
It’ll work out, things always seem to anyways
No one said it would be easy starting over
