Go ahead, judge me. Just remember to be perfect the rest of your life.

Shrouded in shadow I am beckoned

A drop of blood runs down my lips

All around me are raspy whispers

Which slowly morph into hollowed screams

Agony and fear peirce my soul

As if Hell itself is rising within me

Setting fire to my very essence

Tears race down my cheeks before finally

Dropping off my chin and hitting the stone floor

As crimson drops of life force

Without seeing myself, I know

I am painfully decaying

My mind is broken and warped

My sanity ceases to exist

All I see is blood

All I hear is the chilling scream of an ending life

A grin creeps upon my face

It's against my control, yet I feel no remorse

I open my eyes and see white

Pure white

Like snow

I am restrained, my arms locked against my body

I laugh, horrendously, beautifully, insanely

I do not have dark dreams

I have dark memories

The author's comments:

Yami Yume translates to "Dark Dream". Would you believe me if I said this is a symbolism for war? It's about a person who went off to war, forced to kill people, and upon returning feels trapped and horrible as if they are a mass murderer, constantly plagued at night by the things they have done even if it was, to an extent, beyond their control.
